Operations, online presence, brand, and customer experience for owner-run businesses. Central Virginia and remote.
I help owner-run businesses — restaurants, auto shops, service and repair companies — fix where they're losing money and underdelivering: the operation that leaks leads, the website that undersells them, the customer experience that keeps people from coming back. Built in house, owned by you, by someone who's worked in these businesses and has the receipts. One local shop grew from $235,568 to $404,888 in twelve months on exactly that — the whole operation, not one gadget.
Based in Locust Grove, VA — serving Fredericksburg and the I-95 corridor (Spotsylvania, Stafford, Culpeper, Orange), plus service businesses fully remote. See the areas I serve →
Where owner-run businesses leak money — and how I plug it
- Leads slipping awayCalls, web inquiries, and follow-ups that fall through — captured and chased, not lost.
- An online presence that undersells youA slow or dated site that's hard to find — rebuilt fast, found on Google, and owned by you.
- A customer experience that could be betterSlow replies and clunky booking — made quick, consistent, and in the customer's language.
- Busywork eating your hoursDouble entry, manual scheduling, admin — automated so you run the business, not the paperwork.

The lift came from conversion infrastructure, not pricing or one-off jobs. Revenue and volume grew faster than average ticket — meaning more leads captured and more of them converted. Broad-based growth across every major service line rules out "one big customer" or "one viral SKU" explanations.
The system ran on the customer's existing tooling: Hibu-published website + Kickserv CRM. ChatPro deployed onto the existing site without forcing a replacement. Voice Pro and ChatPro both wrote directly into Kickserv without forcing a CRM migration. The lift came from making existing tooling more effective.

14 years in customer-facing auto diagnostics — and I still run my own shop. I get the same 7 PM phone calls my customers do. That is who builds and runs your system: the person who lives the problem, not an agency that read about it. More about me →
Never lose a customer to a slow response.
One layer of the rebuild.
This is the lead-and-response layer — one part of the operation I rebuilt for that shop. Every way a customer reaches you feeds one system: the inquiry answered in their language, the details captured, the job booked and in your records before you even knew it came in. No double entry, nothing dropped.
Watch it happen below. Then picture the website, the follow-up, the reporting, and the brand built around it — that whole-operation rebuild is what drove the +71.9%, not one clever gadget.

Capture every customer. Answer fast. Never drop a lead.

Answer every call, 24/7 — in the caller's language.
The AI phone agent that picks up when you can't — after hours, on a job, or when two calls come in at once. It speaks with the caller in plain language, pulls out the job details, and books the work straight into the system you already run. The front door of the pipeline that drove the +71.9% revenue lift at the anchor customer. It's voice AI, not a person — and it hands off to you the moment a caller needs one.
- Never goes to voicemail — answers 24/7, after hours and overflow
- Handles Spanish and 7 more languages — a caller you couldn't book is a job you keep
- Gets the details on the call — issue, priority, parts, timing
- Books into your CRM (Kickserv, Jobber, and similar) — no double entry
Turn website visitors into booked jobs.
The chat agent that works your website around the clock — answers the common questions, qualifies the visitor, and books the job while they're still on the page. It drops onto the site you already have (no rebuild), and writes the lead into your CRM without creating a duplicate. The same lead makes it into one place, whether it came by phone or by chat.
- Adds to your existing site — no replacement, no downtime
- Books and qualifies 24/7 — the visitor doesn't wait for business hours
- Follows up automatically so a warm lead doesn't go cold
- One clean record per customer — no re-keying, no duplicates
One dashboard for every lead, from every channel.
The single screen that shows every lead the moment it lands — phone, chat, voicemail, booking link, missed call — so nothing hides in an inbox or a sticky note. You see what's booked, what needs a callback, and what the AI already handled. Your job changes from "field every call" to "show up to the booked appointment."
- Every lead in one live queue — from all five channels
- See what's booked and what still needs a human callback
- Revenue, jobs, and conversion at a glance
- Secure logins — each person sees only what they should

Production AI engineer shipping voice agents, multi-tenant SaaS, native mobile, civic tech, dashboards, and independent research. Four years compounding into a person who can take a customer outcome from problem statement to live deployment without handoffs — backend, frontend, infrastructure, multilingual content, integration, deployment, monitoring, customer relationship.
Fourteen years of customer-facing technical work in European automotive diagnostics before founding Mid-Atlantic AI in 2023. Customer-first framing is inherited, not learned. I still run my own shop, which means I get the same 7 PM phone calls my customers do.

That's why the tools I build for other builders are free, and stay free. PreFlight gives away security auditing with no signup and no paid tier. Atlan is built so nothing stands between a person and their first build. Nobody handed me a map when I started, so the map goes out for free — the paid work is the custom build, not the education.
Before you ship it, PreFlight it.
What service owners ask before they hire me.
The honest version — including the limits. If your question isn't here, ask it on the Operations Review and I'll answer it the same way: straight.
Is this going to sound like a robot and embarrass me in front of my customers?
It's voice AI, not a person, and a sharp caller might figure that out. But it's built to speak plainly and it's tuned to how your shop actually answers the phone, and its one job is to catch the calls you're already losing to voicemail. On the Operations Review I'll let you call it yourself, so you're judging the real thing instead of trusting an adjective.
Does this actually make me money, or am I just paying for another gadget?
A missed call is a missed job, and for most shops capturing one or two otherwise-lost jobs a month covers the fee. The proof is one real business: a Fredericksburg appliance-repair shop went from $235,568 to $404,888 in revenue and 1,222 to 2,201 jobs closed, verifiable against their own Kickserv reports. That's one business, not a guarantee — the free Operations Review measures your specific leak before you spend a dollar.
What happens when a caller has a real problem the AI can't handle?
You set the rules for when it stops trying and hands the call to a person, with a warm transfer that carries the context, so the customer never has to start over. AI struggles with off-script, emotional, or heavy-accent calls, which is exactly why escalation and voicemail fallback are built in, not bolted on. You define the triggers, so you stay in control.
What's this really going to cost, and am I locked into a long contract?
Real numbers, on the page: Chat Pro from $1,495 setup + $249/mo, Voice Pro from $2,995 setup + $499/mo, Pro Suite from $5,995 setup + $995/mo, custom automation from $2,495. Everything recurring is month-to-month, no annual contract, cancel anytime. The setup fee builds the system tuned to your shop, and the free Operations Review tells you which tier — if any — you actually need.
Will it work with the scheduling software I already use, or does it just take messages?
The goal is that it books the job into the field-service system you already run — Kickserv, Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, and similar — so there's no re-keying and no message pile to clear. Where a live integration isn't native, I'll tell you straight what's automated and what still needs a hand. I run this software in my own shop every day, so the workflow is built by someone who lives in it.
If the AI quotes the wrong price or promises something I can't deliver, who's on the hook?
The agent speaks only from the answers and price ranges you approve — it doesn't freelance quotes. Firm quotes, unusual requests, and final commitments are confirmed by a person before they're binding. No system is perfect, which is exactly why those guardrails exist. I won't tell you the risk is zero; I'll show you how it's contained.
Are you a real person who'll still be around, or is this another agency that disappears?
Yes — Johnathan Viruet. Fourteen years in customer-facing automotive diagnostics before I founded the company in 2023, and I still run my own auto shop, where I build these systems for my own business first. Real name, real phone (540-440-1811), real email. The no-contract terms and the verifiable receipts are me betting on results, not lock-in.
Can it handle my Spanish-speaking customers?
Yes — Voice Pro is multilingual and handles Spanish-speaking callers, which in a lot of local markets is revenue that was walking out the door. I'll be honest about which languages are rock-solid versus which we should test during the Operations Review. A caller you can't understand is a job your competitor books.
What exactly is the free Operations Review — is it just a sales pitch?
It's a working session, not a demo: I look at where calls, leads, and follow-ups are actually leaking money in your business, and you keep the findings whether or not you ever buy. It might conclude you don't need the full suite, or anything at all. No pressure, no card required — a specialist telling you the truth about your operation is worth the call.
Why pay you thousands when there's a $30-a-month app that does this?
A cheap app is a generic bot you configure yourself and hope works; this is a system built and tuned to how your shop runs, integrated into your scheduling, with a real person who's run his own shop standing behind it and fixing it when it's wrong. For a shop where a lost job is worth hundreds, the DIY route's real cost is the jobs a generic bot fumbles. If you genuinely just need a basic bot, the Operations Review will tell you so.
You do phone, chat, websites, and apps — isn't that a do-everything shop?
Fair question. It's one job for one kind of client: helping owner-run businesses — restaurants, auto shops, service and repair companies — run better, present better, and keep more of what they earn. Phone, chat, websites, automation, and brand are the tools for that, not a menu I chase, and I turn down work outside that lane. I focus these niches because I've worked in them and have the receipts, not because I can't do more.
Let's find your leaks.
Request your operations review.
Tell me about your business and I'll show you where money is leaking — how calls get missed, what your website isn't capturing, where follow-up dies, and what a fix looks like. Real person, same-day reply. If I can't help, I'll tell you who can.
Book a call or send a note.
